Project Overview

Covid has given us all a chance to think about avoiding viruses. The goal of this project is to minimize virus transmission by designing a container to sterilize exams and other papers before grading. The container should hold 2400 pages of paper and heat these papers to 70 degrees C for at least 15 minutes. The papers should be slid into a slot at the top and removed by opening the "back." The collector should also record either a students name or id number (perhaps entered in bubble sheet format) so that a record of the exam is maintained.

Expected Deliverables:

1. Box that heats exams to 70 C for 15 minutes. Time and temperature should be adjustable.

2. Imaging system that records students information.

Software Testing

I am a senior at Iowa State University, majoring in Computer Engineering and graduating Fall of 2022. My coursework has helped me develop as an engineer by improving my abilities in languages such as Java and C, by introducing me to the complexities of working in a team, and by including courses from many disciplines to increase my knowledge of computers and software as a whole. I hope to find employment back home in Minnesota after I graduate. In my free time I like to be active by participating in sports and other activities outdoors.
